On the 27th November 2016, our very own Dr Paul Owens travelled to the Gili Islands, Indonesia to spend ten days working with the charity Animal Aid Abroad to improve the lives of horses and ponies in working regions. The main focus was on dental care and helping treat (as well as prevent) wounds caused by outdated or dangerous equine equipment. Paul worked alongside Dr Kirsten Weber from Western Australia (a fellow member of EquineDentalVets) and a team of dedicated veterinary students from WA. They travelled with around 40kg of donations to help horses and ponies on the Islands. We’re so proud to have Paul as a member of our team here and want to congratulate him on such a fantastic trip!
