My name is Caitlin and I have worked at Toorak Road Veterinary Clinic since Feburary 2022 and have been running our puppy school since July 2023. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, a Certificate III in Captive Animals, and have completed further courses on canine behaviour and training. When not at work, my leisure time is spent training and entertaining my two kelpie rescue pups, Floki and Ivy.
Ivy was diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder shortly after her rescue at 6 months old. I have worked with multiple trainers and vets to manage her reactive behaviourand became obsessed with her improvements. My aim with puppy school is to prevent anxiety and reactivity from developing or progressing, by helping owners build a positive relationship with their newest family members. By using positive reinforcement methods, I will help you learn tips and tricks to build this relationship and help your puppy settle into their new home. If you have any questions about puppy school or training, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
