Toorak Road Veterinary Clinic boasts modern haematology and biochemistry machines enabling us to get valuable information regarding your pet’s health within an hour! The machines require only small sample sizes meaning we are able to run blood on our dog and cat patients as well as smaller rabbit and guinea pigs.
The blood machines also enable us to run pre-anaesthetic blood work on the day of surgical procedures, eliminating the need for you to bring your pet in for multiple visits.
We also have urine testing facilities where we can perform investigations on your pets urine.
In the clinic we are also able to perform small needle biopsies on lumps and bumps as well as testing for some of our diseases such as feline immunodeficiency virus and for heartworm infection.
Not all tests are able to be performed in house and thus we have a fantastic relationship with an external laboratory called ‘ASAP Pathology’. ASAP Pathology are able to perform blood testing, infection disease investigations as well as pathology to diagnose various lumps and bumps.
